Hailing from a humble background in England and Australia, at the age of 17, Tim Page had to leave home and travel to the Middle East, India, and Nepal to make a living. Carrying a Nikon 3x4 camera on his shoulder, he arrived in Laos to work for the American news agency UPI, capturing the events of the coup in Laos in 1965 before moving on to Vietnam to work as a war correspondent.
